Brief info
I am enjoying being part of the YSS community and proud to be one of the Sinhala School teachers. My aim is to provide an environment for children where they are able to communicate, collaborate, and engage confidently while learning different cultures and simultaneously learning Sinhala as a second language. I strongly believe that the understanding of similarities and differences between cultures helps to improve the adaptability of living in a multi-cultural society. I am amazed by what I have also learnt from the lovely and enthusiastic kids in every class. I am prudent in saying that I am a teacher, and as long as the children are having a memorable time at the school, I will keep this stance.
I have been teaching in YSS for the last 3 years in Araliya class. I have had a good time working with these wonderful kids.
